Sketching and shading

In our practical session last Monday we started to do some sketching and working on our shading and artwork skills. Our homework was to go home and sketch a still life picture of our choice.  I chose to draw a flower in a glass vase ornament, although on reflection I think this was a little ambitious given the result. I also became rather frustrated tryng to sketch th glass vase so it has been erased from the picture. However I intend to keep practicing, and found sketching on the whole quite enjoyable.
